The Apostles of Fylde Methodism by John Taylor (1885).  Click here to go to the full text.
The chapter about George Fishwick is a fascinating account of
the origins of this church, and also that at Hollins Lane.

PEPAIDS

The Scorton congregation have funded PEPAIDS, a charity helping to solve problems associated with AIDS in Zambia.  Fund-raising and other activities will be found in the Circuit's
calendar of events.

Recent improvements to the facilities adjoining the chapel make it an ideal
venue for gatherings of up to 60 people (48 for sit-down meals). There is
a modern fitted kitchen adjacent to two well-appointed meeting rooms
with a partition which can be opened to make one larger room of 45 square metres.
Coach parties, Alpha 'away days', study groups etc can be easily accommodated, and
catering can be offered if required.
